Hello!I guess you could call me the Lynne half of Lizzie Lynne.... Lynn is my middle name - my first is Carrie. I'm married with 2 beautiful daughters and one little silly dog. I haven't been on the underside of 30 for a few years now, but that hasn't stopped me from wanting to pursue one of my greatest dreams - writing for the young adult market.
And to get things started, I thought I would write about the top five loves of my life (in order:)
1. God. I like to say one of the best things my parents ever did for me was introduce me to Him. I grew up very involved in a huge church in Michigan and spent my elementary years in a school run by the same church. From an early age, I formed a deep relationship with Him that has carried me through some of the rougher years of my life. His wonders in my life never cease and I know there are amazing things ahead.
2. My Husband. In 3 short days I will be celebrating 11 years of marriage with my soul mate and best friend. Our lives together have been far from easy, but he's always been there...faithful, supportive, a shoulder to cry on. I can't imagine life without him and find it impossible to see a future without him by my side.
3. My Kids. They say having a kid is like having your heart walking around outside of your body (or something like that). My oldest is at camp for the week. She's been gone about 36 hours now. 36 long hours of not knowing how she is, if she's having fun, if she's made friends....I miss her so much! It's too quiet. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the occasional break or the peace that bedtime brings. I'm really enjoying having lots of special one on one time with my youngest this week too., but there is definitely something missing around here this week. I am looking forward to her return on Friday and to hearing the stories of her adventures this week!
4. Writing. The reason I'm even here writing this at all. Since I can remember I've always had my head in a book (or two). As a young kid (and even a teenager), I looked forward to trips to the library. My favorite Christmas presents came from the bookstore. More than anything, I have this incurable dream to write one of my own.
5. Baseball. There is nothing that screams winter is over to me than that first crack of the ball on opening day. From the early promises of April and May through the long hot nail-biting games of the summer to the excitement of a possible playoff-run in early fall, I love everything about baseball season! Since I was a tot on my grandfather's knee cheering on the Detroit Tigers to my husband converting me into a Minnesota Twins fan twenty years later, baseball has always been a great love of mine.
